Frau Jovana²: From Berlin to the Novi Sad Audience

After spending the summer at the Berlin Opera Academy, sopranos Jovana Filipović Ćalić and Jovana Kojić are joining forces once again, this time for an audience in Novi Sad.

The concert, titled Frau Jovana², will take place on 25 September 2025 at 7:30 PM in the Beckley Hall of the “Isidor Bajić” Music School in Novi Sad. They will be joined at the piano by Strahinja Đokić.

Both Jovana and Jovana spent the summer in Germany as participants of the Berlin Opera Academy, where they developed their operatic repertoire through intensive rehearsals, coachings, concerts and masterclasses. During the programme, both also performed in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea at Theater im Delphi in Berlin, marking important new steps in their operatic careers.

The Novi Sad concert offers an opportunity to share part of the music, experience and artistic energy they brought back from Berlin with their home audience.

The programme will include works by Monteverdi, Pergolesi, Durante, Bellini, Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Delibes, de Falla and Filipović Ćalić, bringing together music from different periods and styles through solo performances and shared musical moments.

Admission is free, with an optional donation for Marko Mihailović, the brother of our colleague, who is fighting a rare disorder and urgently needs to undergo a life-saving operation. A donation box will be placed at the entrance to the hall.
